Brian Marcel 

Brian founded the Company in 1982 with his late wife Liz selling bar code original artwork or Film Masters. The company grew rapidly and after five years pioneered the concept of providing a total solution to tracking including hardware, software, wireless infrastructure integration and services.

In 1990, just after the Berlin Wall fell, Brian founded the International Bar Code Systems (IBCS) group in Eastern Europe and is still the region's No 1 enterprise mobility solutions integrator.

Brian has been on the AIM UK and AIM Global boards since 1985 and an invited member of the AIDC 100 group, formed from the most influential industry leaders internationally.

In his spare time Brian mentors University entrepreneurs and is an Adult and Family Magistrate

Greg Tanner

With almost 30 years experience working with some of the biggest manufacturing leaders in the automatic identification industries, Greg has worked with Brian as a distribution partner since the early days of Bar Code Systems Limited. Greg established new bar code printer divisions for Esselte Meto and Toshiba TEC in the United Kingdom before founding Zebra Technologies Europe in 1990, building that organisation over ten years to being the significant market leader in EMEA for bar code printers and labelling supplies. He then became responsible for the international channel business for Datalogic, the Italy-based European leader in bar code data collection equipment, before founding the EMEA operations of Vocollect, the leaders in voice-directed warehousing systems. 

Greg’s experience in building highly effective channel networks to take technology into new geographies and applications is unparalleled and his pragmatic experience can help businesses small and large gain cost-effective and practical benefit from the introduction and enhancement of automatic identification technology and systems.

Michael Marcel 

Michael Marcel qualified as a Chartered Accountant and worked in that field until going to London Business School to get an MBA. He joined Bar Code Systems in 1986 as the Company’s Accountant, taking over responsibility for International Bar Code Systems in 1991. He currently also has the roll of Office Manager within the Company.

Michael is also author of several books on the Christian church and religion who has travelled greatly in his research. He is also a TV commentator on religion in the world today, in addition to practicing as a lay preacher.
