Mobile Computers

Handheld computers allow quick and reliable data collection, storing it in memory and transfer for real time over wireless networks or batch-mode transfer when connected to a docking station. They also allow further treatment of the collected data, analysis and reporting. They can communicate with mobile label printers and desktop PCs. Main areas of application are: control of item receiving, storing, picking and despatch from a warehouse, control of a courier service, collecting data in manufacturing processes, supporting the work of sales representatives, inventory and asset management, control of fixed assets, equipment maintenance and field service applications.
Designed to work in industrial environments, vehicle-mounted computers are used in areas such as control of receiving, put-away, replenishment of picking locations and shipments in warehousing, handling warehouse operations, handling production operations and in shipping container movements. By integrating the terminal with warehouse management systems, the monitor can display full instructions to a forklift operator of their tasks to ensure real-time prioritisation of their activities.
